April 20-24

  5. Draw a picture of something you did during Spring Break.
  6. Create a slideshow (Keynote, PowerPoint, other) of what you did over Spring Break.
  7. Write a friendly letter to your teacher describing what you did during Spring Break.

April 6-10

  4. Use IXL to practice - Elapsed time II (Third grade - O.4)
  5. Use IXL to practice the Ss and Os.
  6. Write a poem or a short story about Spring.
  7. Decide on a person you believe deserves his or her own stamp and write a paragraph explaining why. 

March 30-April 3

Choose ONE of the following choice activities for the week and complete the survey below.
  1. Read aloud to an adult at least twice this week for 10 - 20 minutes (This can be done in place of your regular nightly reading).
  2. Study your basic multiplication facts (F1-F20) & division facts (H1-H16) at your own level every night.
  3. Spelling City – Practice this week’s words (Theme 5 Review)
  4. Use IXL to practice area and perimeter (R.8 - R.18)
  5. Write a song or rap about something you have learned in school this year. Be ready to share with your class!
  6. Write a review of the play "Shrek the Musical."
  7. Keyboard Practice – practice keyboarding at home on a computer. Be sure to have good posture and to place your fingertips on the “home keys."
  8. Bring in examples, or take pictures, of containers that hold a cup, a pint, a quart, and a gallon of liquid. 

March 23-27

March 17-20

March 9-13

  4. Decide on a goal you would like to set in AR for the last trimester of 3rd grade. Make a list of books you would like to read in the coming months. Calculate how many points you will earn if you are able to read those books. 
  5. Write a poem about Spring, Daylight Savings, or St. Patrick’s Day.    
  6. Make a poster or collage of the MOSAIC values for our classroom.
  7. Keyboard Practice – practice keyboarding at home on a computer. Be sure to have good posture and to place your fingertips on the “home keys."

March 2-6

  7. Make a poster or collage of the MOSAIC values for our classroom

February 23-27

  4. Write a letter to me and tell me about what you did during the break.

  6. Watch an educational show about animals, space, or our planet and summarize the show (in your own words).

February 9-13

  4. Come to the Bel Aire Science Fair this Thursday, Feb. 12th from 6:00-7:00 PM.
  5. Make your own Valentine’s Day cards for everyone in the class. 
  6. Write a Valentine's Day poem for a family member.

February 2-6

  4. Work on your Science Fair project (Bel Aire’s Science Fair is Feb. 12th).
  5. Explore the Tiburon Landmarks Website. Write down 3 interesting facts you learned.
